My first book: ‘Freedom of Information: A practical guide for UK journalists’ has been completed and is due to be published during 2015.
The book is to be a guide for journalists, and students, on how to use the Freedom of Information Act to obtain stories, conduct investigations and uncovered hidden information.
Routledge, who are part of the Taylor and Francis group, are publishing the book – and I am very grateful for their support.
It draws upon the FOI legislation itself, case law, academic study and most importantly practical examples from those using the Act. This includes interviews from more than 50 journalists, FOI practitioners, campaigners and more.
Throughout the book there will be tips and guidance which has come directly from the practical experiences of those using the Act to create stories.
